Faversham Rotary Club recently welcomed a new member – Emily Scragg.
Emily became a Club member in January, but she had already been involved in the Club’s activities, including helping on the Carol Tour.
The picture shows Emily with Club President Scott Reeve and her sponsor Rotarian David Kirsch-Mills.
Emily said, “My grandfather Dr Roy Scragg (AM OBE) was a member of the Adelaide Rotary Club for 64 years. A highlight of visiting him in Adelaide was always an invitation to the lunch meetings. He passed away last year and I decided to honour his memory by continuing his legacy of service to the community through Rotary.
I am very pleased to have joined and look forward to a fulfilling lifetime of friendship and activities through the Faversham Rotary Club - though my Grandpa would be the first to point out that I will never be able to beat his 64 years!”
