This annual event organised by Faversham Rotary Club took place in fine spring weather on Monday 8th May.
More than 170 riders were started on their way by the Mayor of Faversham, Cllr Trevor Martin. Setting off from the Abbey School, the scenic 12.5 km route went through beautiful countryside around Faversham.
Almost 40% of the participants were under 16, with the youngest being just 2 years old.
Judging by the smiles on the faces of the riders, they had a great time and many voiced their thanks for a well organised safe event. They also appreciated the ”Barmy Army” of encouraging and motivational marshalls around the route.
Some cyclists were sponsored for charities of their choice, while others rode in support of the Rotary Club’s community initiatives.
The event was sponsored by Kesson Physiotherapy and Rotary International.
Thanks to everyone involved - especially the riders!
See you again next year.
