Supporting 3rd World Entrepeuners

Our Club's International Committee is helping small 3rd World entrepreneurs get their businesses off to a successful start via the special Crowd Funding organisation, Lend With Care. By lending small amounts of money to these entrepreneurs we are helping these people achieve commercial independence and employ people in areas where there is little opportunity. As the money is paid back we re-invest in similar projects. Read Kry Pak's story and get an insight to how we are helping.

A light-hearted Christmas quiz gave everyone something to think about. Could you name the original eight reindeer in the poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’?

We also celebrated Jim Young’s 30th anniversary as a Club member. President Duncan Holliday presented Jim (without the Christmas hat) with his certificate, marking  30 years of support for Rotary.

CHRISTMAS CAROL TOUR RAISES £4,224

Posted by: Miles Lemon - Wed, 21/12/2016 - 5:08pm

Over the past two weeks Faversham Rotary has visited many areas of the town with our decorated float. You may also have seen us outside Tesco on Saturdays.

It was great to see so many people waiting on their doorsteps as we toured the streets.

Both young and old were pleased to see us.

Thanks to your generosity we collected £4,224.00 – a magnificent total, which Rotary will put to good use in the local area.
